Commentary Script-Borderlands

In a group of four we were asked to make our own short films. With our short films done we were then asked to individually create our own commentary scripts, and talk anyone person through it as they watch.

Here is my script:

The Boss- Film Genre

Film genre can be categorized into different segments, such as:
  • Comedy
  • Action
  • Crime
  • Drama
  • Thriller
  • Horror
And many more. Although they can be put into different categories, they can also help us as an audience guess exactly what a movie is going to be about and the outcome of it.

Each genre has it's own unique property that makes people take interest in, that's why you don't have people that like one specific genre and hate the others. Here are some examples:

References from Wikipedia:
The setting is the milieu or environment where the story and action takes place. The theme or topic refers to the issues or concepts that the film revolves around. The mood is the emotional tone of the film. Format refers to the way the film was shot or the manner of presentation. An additional way of categorizing film genres is by the target audience as well.

With help from Wikipedia, I took a film one of the groups in my class made, called "The Boss"(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JMoWdwfFu_E) that was originally a Crime/Action film, and talked about how I would change it to be a comedy.
