In a group of four we were asked to make our own short films. With our short films done we were then asked to individually create our own commentary scripts, and talk anyone person through it as they watch.

The Boss- Film Genre
Film genre can be categorized into different segments, such as:
Each genre has it's own unique property that makes people take interest in, that's why you don't have people that like one specific genre and hate the others. Here are some examples:
References from Wikipedia:
The setting is the milieu or environment where the story and action takes place. The theme or topic refers to the issues or concepts that the film revolves around. The mood is the emotional tone of the film. Format refers to the way the film was shot or the manner of presentation. An additional way of categorizing film genres is by the target audience as well.
With help from Wikipedia, I took a film one of the groups in my class made, called "The Boss"(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JMoWdwfFu_E) that was originally a Crime/Action film, and talked about how I would change it to be a comedy.

First 2 minutes of the opening credits-Django Unchained
We were asked by our teacher Mr. Stacey to choose a movie we liked and analyze the first 2 minutes of the opening credits. We presented our movie to the class and talked a little about it. For instance the camera angles, the environment, how the movie shows the genre etc...Here is the first two minutes of my movie written in a word document.

My 2 minute movie-Intro
In this post we were asked by Mr. Rami to come up with our own movie. Whether it be thriller, action adventure etc.. After doing so we had to create our own storyboard to the movie and draw it out to how we would make it. The intro is only suppose to be 2 minutes long showing different camera angles, when music should be played, and how opening credits should be presented on screen.
1.
First thing to appear on screen would of course be the production company. This will stay on for about 5 seconds to make sure us as an audience saw it.
2.
It then goes on with, "The weinstein" company present, with a desert in the background. The desert helps create the imagery and shows us where this particular scene is.
3.
After that there's a close up of a abandoned broken car still with the desert in the background. Immediately when the first scene starts with the desert in the background, some Arabic music will be playing, creating an atmosphere.
4.
Camera then switches to a established shot of most of the desert with a pile of rocks laying close up to the camera. The title of the movie then appears in the center of the screen in big bold letters and the sound of a falcon appears to make it more dramatic.
5.
The environment changes quickly to a birds eye view/ aerial shot of a car driving on a main road. This scene will appear for about 6 seconds giving the camera time to zoom into the car from a aerial position. While this is happening there will be the radio in the background being played from his car and as it gets closer the music gets louder later on becoming the actual music until the movie officially begins.
6.
A close up of the main character will show us how he looks and show any facial expressions helping us decide if he's happy sad etc...On the left hand side of the screen will then be the main actors name in bold letters as well. Music now is very clear as the camera is close up to the actor and continues throughout the next few scenes.
7.
The next scene is a low angled/close up shot of the car he's driving. The camera will first zoom out from the badge of the car showing us what car he's driving (Porsche) and to show us if he has a lot of money. It will then zoom out and only show the hood of the car and the road under it and then making the car drive over the camera so we get a shot of the car underneath. Actors name will appear at the bottom of the screen in bold letters.
8.
An established shot will now presented to show the city behind the car and then moving into a tracking shot with the car to show how fast he's driving. Another actors name will be shown almost in the middle of the screen.
9.
Established/Aerial shot will show the Empire state building and most of the buildings around it. It could also help show what time of day it was, whether it was the morning, afternoon or night. Under the clouds an actors name will slowly appear also on the left hand side.
10.
This scene will have a long shot of the main actor getting out of his car near a building, now making us wonder where he has stopped and where he's going. Co-stars will now appear on screen in small letters near the bottom.
11.
The next scene captures the actor walking into the building with a long line of people. An established shot is used again to show the scene and environment he's in. The last of the co-stars has now appeared.
12.
A close up of the buildings name is now shown. The bank of new york. Now we know where he works and where he has stopped.
13.
There's then a over the shoulder shot of one of the people in the long line getting a transfer from the bank. This is now a indication that the movie is about to begin anytime now.
